First thing OVERALL! If you are not mentally prepared and confident in anything you do in life or in the gym then you have already set yourself up for failure, PERIOD!

YOU have to go in KNOWING you are one BAD MOTHERFUCKER and you will not let any amount of steel or pressure cause you to FOLD! We as POWERLIFTERS DO NOT FOLD! WE DO NOT QUIT! YOU DO NOT FAIL!

When it comes to lifting it is literally YOU VS YOU. It isn’t anyone’s else’s fault that you didn’t hit a certain number, or you didn’t make a certain weight, or you didn’t eat or sleep enough. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN OUTCOME. Being MENTALLY prepared and being able to VISUALIZE what you are supposed to do will launch you above and beyond your expectations!

The moment you wake up you should 100% already know and understand what is expected out of you when going into the gym that day. You VISUALIZE over and over how every rep looks from warm ups to top sets! You do the same EXACT SETUP for each rep over and over in your head and I promise you once it’s game time it’ll be like 2nd nature MENTALITY and then all that is left is to PERFORM!

A STRONG MIND CREATES A STRONG BODY. A WEAK MIND CREATS A WEAK BODY. BELIEVING IN ONES SELF AND HAVING THE ABILITY OF KNOWING THAT YOU ARE MORE CAPABLE OF JUST BEING AVERAGE IS THE KEY TO BEING MENTAL STRONG!
